The 23rd Sino-European CSR RT Forum on Dec. 2

2020-12-06GoldenBeeGoldenBee0

Currently, the world is actively exploring ways for economic recovery after the COVID-19, and "green recovery" has become a core option. The European Green Deal ("Green New Deal") proposes to help Europe become the first "carbon neutral" region in the world by 2050, sending a strong signal of green and low-carbon transition. In recent years, the Chinese government also has highlighted the ecological civilization by proposing the development concept of "Lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", aiming to explore ways to coordinate economic development and environmental protection and create a new paradigm for the ecological civilization.

The EU’s Green New Deal is a holdover from China’s concept of ecological civilization. Green development guides the global development. Green supply chain management is an innovative environmental management method that balances “environmental protection” and “economic development”.

As China embarks on the national 14th Five-Year Plan, how to identify the role of green supply chains in promoting the high-quality development of China’s economy and the sustainable development of global trade in the context of COVID-19 response with “green recovery”, what new features the green supply chain will have, and how to further mobilize the enthusiasm of the majority of companies to engage in green supply chain management to facilitate green transition, this 23rd Forum will focus on these topics and invite distinguished guests from governments, associations, research institutions, international organizations, well-known companies and sustainability experts to share their perspectives.
