【Top Ten International CSR Events】No.9 EPIC launched to reach equal pay for women at work by 2030

No.9 EPIC launched to reach equal pay for women at work by 2030
   
On September 18, The Equal Pay International Coalition (EPIC), a new global coalition – which includes the UN International Labour Organization (ILO), UN Women, and the Organization of Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) – was launched to facilitate the realization of equal pay for women at work by 2030. The EPIC emphasizes the importance of national actions in implementing the goal of “equal pay for work” and requires its consistency with other national priorities to ensure the mutually accountable partnership.
 
Reason for listing：
 
Economic equality is the cornerstone and key to achieving gender equality. Even if the law explicitly stipulates the equal pay for work, inequality still persists. When neither single party could address this challenge on its own, a strategic multi-stakeholder coalition can not only take advantage of the expertise of various stakeholders but also extend the reach and influence of existing initiatives and will show its values.
