On August 12, 2016, the launch ceremony of “The beauty of Chinese Enterprise Abroad --- Images of Chinese CSR Along the Belt and Road” was held in Beijing.
This activity was hosted by China International Contractors Association (CHINCA) and co-hosted by
WTO China Tribune and
International Project Contracting & Labour Service. Themed with CSR and combined with the requirements of the “Belt and Road Initiative”, this activity will visually present the footprint of Chinese enterprises on the “Belt and Road” with images, presenting a sense of beauty in innovation, green and harmony and facilitating to build up the image overseas of Chinese enterprises.
Mr. Yu Zhihong,Chief Expert of GoldenBee CSR Consulting, was invited to attend the ceremony and moderated the panel discussion. In the panel, enterprises and media representatives contribute their ideas regarding overseas CSR fulfillment, current situation of CSR communication and approaches to improve image overseas. Mr. Yu said that, driven by the “Belt and Road Initiative”, “Going Global” is not only for Chinese enterprises but also includes Chinese media and institutions. This is the trend of globalization for China in near future.
The “ Images of Chinese CSR Along the Belt and Road” activity will lasts for four months, and a serious of awards will be selected based on the CSR practices reflected form the images, like “Best Image” Award, “The Most Beautiful Oversea Project of China” Award, “The Most Beautiful Smile” Award and “Best Organizer” Award etc.. The results will be released during the annual industry conference of CHINCA in 2016. Meantime, a large image album “The Beauty of Chinese Enterprise Abroad --- Images of Chinese CSR Along the Belt and Road” will be compiled, and some relevant large scale exhibitions will be also held to further establish a communicative, collaborative and promotion platform for Chinese enterprises’ fulfillment of social responsibility overseas.
Leaders of CHINCA, Cooperation Department of Ministry of Commerce and Policy and Regulation Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology also participated this event and delivered speeches. More than 80 representatives from the United Nations Development Programmer (UNDP), World Wide Fund for Nature or World Wildlife (WWF), Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), the delegations of “Going Global” enterprises and journalists from various media attended the launch ceremony.
