Best CSR Practices for“Made in China 2025” was released on the seminar.
Representatives from governments, central SOEs, foreign-invested enterprises and private enterprises gathered to discuss the concepts and practices of “Green, Intelligence and Humanity” advocated by “Made in China 2025” to promote the healthy, harmonious and sustainable development of China manufacturing.
China WTO Tribune was authorized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China (MIIT) to compile the collection
Best CSR Practices for“Made in China 2025”. Through information collection, company practice identification, investigation and compilation, practice examples from 10 Chinese enterprises are presented in this collection. They are China Electronics, China Mobile, China National Building Material Group, Shenhua Group, Haier Group, Golmud City of Qinghai Province, Taiyuan Iron & Steel Group, Shenyang Machine Tool, Beijing Far East Instrument and Zhejiang Huafon Spandex.
These practices convey concepts of “green, intelligence and humanity” of “Made in China 2025” from various aspects, as well as manifest some extraordinary CSR philosophy to maximize the comprehensive values of economy, society and environment for sustainable development.
During this seminar, Yuan Wei, General Director of the Office of China Shenzhou Shendong Group Co., Ltd. introduced some innovative practices in digital mine. Through establishing the intelligent and digital mine, informatization should be able to drive industrialization and vice versa; and further promote the integration between those two aspects, strengthen the application of experience from Jinjie pilot mine and build world-leading, safe and high-efficient digital mine group, thus contributing to the development of Chinese Coal Industry.
Additionally, Cui Shuanglong from the Management Strategy Division of Taiyuan Iron& Steel Group Co., Ltd. started with talking the positioning of four “green” and further mentioned their targets for high efficiency, energy conservation and green development. They constantly strive toward the green development under the idea of “integration with city”.
Besides, Zhang Weihui, Deputy Director of EHS Division of Huafon Spandex presented the core value of the corporate citizenship behavior is to implement the responsible care which is also the inner operation responsibility. The CSR will be connected with daily management process and will further facilitate the sustainable green enterprises by establishing the EHS (environment, health and safety) management system.
By telling two story briefly, Zhang Mengmeng from the Research Office of Beijing Enterprises Group Company shared how to promote and actualize the green development during the process of information construction and intelligent upgrading.
Su Zengwei, Deputy Director of QingHai Provincial Commission of Economy and Information Technology quoted some valuable data to help attendees more intuitively know about Golmud city in terms of making full balance of economic construction and environmental protection by utilizing resources comprehensively and centrally and embarking with the development of circular economy.
Concerning the collection, Guan Zhusun, Deputy Manager of GoldenBee CSR Consulting, regarded it conforms to the idea of responsible competitiveness. The enterprises take their own professional advantages to deal with social, environment and employees issues. This provides a great opportunity for them to improve the economic benefits while fulfilling their social responsibility, and their responsible competiveness also can be strengthened. He suggested a deep and sustainable analysis and multidimensional promotion of those practices.
Overall, Zhang Ningning from Policies & Regulations Department of MIIT reviewed the process that the engagement and contribution of MIIT with the social responsibility development in China. He said that, from the integration of informatization and industrialization to Made in China 2025, MIIT has promoted enterprises to fulfill social responsibility, summarized and shared the typical CSR practices. MIIT shows gratitude to the participating enterprises and wishes the further promotion and application could be undertaken to better improve social responsible practices by learning from the collection.
By the end of the seminar, Yu Zhihong, President and Chief Editor of China WTO Tribune, introduced the compilation process. It took the team over a year to complete the collection by applying the concept of responsible competiveness, positioning the integration of informatization and industrialization and Made in China 2025, and by collecting information on company practices through interview, investigation, on-site inspection etc. to get known the enterprises.
The collection will promote enterprises to improve their management, to be a role model for other enterprises and can be a MBA teaching case. The future plan is to allow more enterprises to join and know the collection and offer a new path for transformation of the development patterns through disseminating and sharing by new media channels.
