In September, 2015, Japan's Government Pension Investment Fund (GPIF), the world's largest pension fund, signed on to United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI). According to its 2015 progress report released by PRI, currently 936 investors from 48 countries in 6 continents have joined PRI. Assets under management (AUM) by PRI signatories stands at $59 trillion.
Reasons for Selection:
There is no doubt that responsible investment provides a strong impetus to guide enterprises to take economic, social and environmental benefits into consideration, reshape the operation targets of main market players and cultivate sustainable decision making.
