No. 03 2015 Marks the 15th Anniversary of the UN Global Compact
On June 25, UN held a special event to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the UN Global Compact in its headquarters in New York. Currently over 8,000 enterprises in about 170 countries have joined the Global Compact, which has brought benefits to the discussion of a series of social topics, including climate change and women's empowerment.
Reasons for Selection:
In its 15 years of development, UN Global Compact has strongly shaped the global agenda in key areas. Through its cooperation with enterprises to seek for effective approaches to conquer the negative impact of globalization, UN Global Compact urges enterprises to shoulder social responsibility, reestablishes the partnership between business and UN, and promotes a more sustainable development concept.
