No. 01 UN Releases Its First Comprehensive Guidance for Companies to Report on Human Rights Issues

The first comprehensive guidance for companies to report on human rights issues in line with the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPs) was launched on Feb. 24 in London. The guidance, the United Nations Guiding Principles Reporting Framework, consists of a series of "smart" questions, which could help companies to quickly start their human rights performance reporting and stimulate them to improve their human rights performance.
Reasons for Selection:
The core of human rights responsibility is to protect everyone's dignity. In according to UNGPs, companies are entitled to respect human rights and make improvements when human rights are jeopardized due to company related matters. We encourage companies to release their human rights reports which will lead to more effective management of their influence on people.
