Nowadays, addressing climate change is becoming increasingly urgent worldwide and carbon reduction has become an irresistible trend.
The Government Work Report 2023 also highlighted to "advance energy conservation and carbon reduction in key areas" for a better ecology. As a pioneer in the "carbon neutrality" cause, EU started its carbon reduction action early and has technical advantages. From the European Green Deal and "Fit for 55" to REPowerEU, the EU's ambitions for carbon reduction remain undiminished.
Carbon reduction in supply chains requires enterprises not only to leverage technologies for energy mix adjustment and carbon reduction actions, but to build a closer carbon reduction partnership with suppliers, for joint carbon reduction in procurement, manufacturing, logistics and sales.
As the carbon reduction partnership in supply chains covers a wide range, from brands, suppliers to energy companies and financial institutions, how to foster such a sound partnership for multi-dimensional collaboration to empower suppliers with new skills, new processes, new tools on carbon reduction and gain market advantages before the launch of carbon tax is a big challenge.
To this end, on June 8, the 28th Roundtable Forum with the theme of "Fostering Carbon Reduction Partnership in Supply Chains" will invite sustainability experts, brands and suppliers to share the latest regional policies, carbon reduction partnership approaches and practices, and provide carbon reduction solutions for enterprises and suppliers.
