What’s in for Chinese Suppliers – Towards creating more value together
5 June 2015 in Beijing, China

For the second time the three partner organizations econsense (Forum for Sustainable Development of German Business), China WTO Tribune and the Emerging Market Multinationals Network for Sustainability (implemented by GIZ) jointly organize an international workshop on responsible, sustainable, and successful supply chains.

On behalf of the organizers, we would like to cordially invite you to participate in this upcoming workshop. The first workshop in June 2014 has attracted more than 120 participants from multinational companies, local suppliers as well as science and politics/administration to discuss regulatory developments, stakeholder expectations, and corporate best practices in the context of CSR/sustainability.

This year’s workshop will again focus on responsible and sustainable supply chain relations with a particular focus on “what’s in for suppliers”, meaning the opportunities for local suppliers related to the increasing CSR/sustainability engagement of German/European Multinationals sourcing on China.

To this end, senior managers and purchasers of the econsense member companies including BASF, Daimler, Deutsche Telekom, The Linde Group, Siemens, and Volkswagen will present best practice examples on how they work with their suppliers to create more value together. This involves projects related to safety at work, business continuity plans, anti-corruption, and training/qualification of CSR-related matters.

The workshop is integrated into The 10th International CSR Forum and the Award Ceremony of the “2014 GoldenBee CSR China Honour Roll”.
